Judith Lee Herbert, a graduate Cum Laude in English Literature from Columbia University, is a poet and practicing psychotherapist.

Her chapbook, Songbird, (Kelsay Books, 2019) was a finalist in the 2017 Blue Light Poetry Chapbook Competition.

Her poems have appeared in publications including Sensitive Skin Magazine, LI Quarterly, First Literary Review East, and The Ekphrastic Review, and in anthologies, such as  Silver-tongued Devil, To Be Completely Honest: A Poetry Collection of Self-Examination. and Some of the Best Long Island Poetry: 2024.

Her poems have placed in contests including the String Poet Contest 2017, the Nassau County Poet Laureate Society Contest 2018, the LI Poetry and Literature Repository Poetry Contest 2024, and the Babylon Village Arts Council Poetry Contest 2024.

She lives in New York City.
